Sarracenia leucophylla
klon L10F - Washington Co., near Citronelle, Alabama, USA
Very unusual clone raised from wild-collected seeds. The plant is chlorophyll-synthesis mutant, that greatly affects it's ability to grow. The fact that the plant reached maturity after 13 years after germination demonstrates this best.
The young emerging pitchers stay creamy yellow for several weeks and then within one or two months slowly turn into standard green white pigmentation. Young plants of clone L10F increase their size remarkably slowly. The best, sunny position is absolutely required to maintain sustainable growth.
